As only a small section of the monastery complex and the Church of St Mauritius have been preserved, digitalisation enables the virtual reconstruction of former buildings and a display of the monastery complex in its former grandeur.
Charterhouses were once the centres of knowledge and culture. Their heritage has been preserved to this day. Medieval manuscripts from the monastery library have been preserved and the charterhouse is also linked to the stories of the Counts of Celje, and Frederick and Veronika.
The stories about Carthusian monks and the Counts of Celje provide rich content for upgrading and innovation. In addition to the digital reconstruction of the monastery with a mobile app, interpretation and perspective boards will also be set up. The Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts will be the project partner, thus providing an expert and scientific basis for the digitalisation, reconstruction and preparation of information and perspective boards.
