Divje Babe Archaeological Park, situated in the rugged landscape of the Idrija-Cerkljansko Hills, is one of the most important sites of the Old Stone Age in the world. Hidden in the steep, rocky hillside that descends from Šebrelje Plateau into the Idrijca River valley is a cave where the Neanderthal flute, considered to be the oldest musical instrument in the world, was found. It is the first cave in Slovenia to transport the visitor to the mysterious Neanderthal period with the help of a projection on the wall, thus offering a truly unique and unforgettable experience.
